PALM SPRINGS, Ca.
Over 200 Southern California Edison customers were initially without power in Palm Springs following an underground vault fire.
Crews were on scene around 7:30 a.m. near Indian Canyon Drive and Tahquitz Canyon Way.
Some businesses in the area are still closed because of the power outage.
As of 1 p.m. only 28 customers were without power. According to SoCal Edison power will be restored by mid/late afternoon.
