A new local non-profit joins the ranks of over 1000 other nonprofits currently operating in our community. The mission of the Coachella Valley Journalism Foundation is to promote and support excellent sustainable community journalism in the Coachella Valley and its founders, desert sun, executive editor, Julie Makinen and board president Ricardo, Loretto, joins NBC Palm Springs’ Sandie Newton to discuss this important new enterprise.
