  • “Being the Ricardos”

“Being the Ricardos” shows Lucille Ball (the fantastic Nicole Kidman) and Desi Arnaz (the equally fantastic Javier Bardem) as they navigate through scandals while preparing to shoot an episode of “I Love Lucy.”  From writer/director Aaron Sorkin, the film speaks volumes about the way Miss Ball changed Hollywood’s and pretty much the world’s perceptions on womanhood.  But is the film good?

  • “tick…tick…BOOM!”

Andrew Garfield sings his heart out in “tick…tick…BOOM!” from director Lin-Manuel Miranda.  It’s an homage to struggling artists everywhere with the story of the “Rent” creator Jonathan Larson.

  • “King Richard”

Will Smith is glorious as Richard Williams in the new biopic “King Richard” about the rise of Venus and Serena in the tennis world as seen through their father’s eyes.  But is the movie good?
