• Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

Daniel Radcliffe is tubular as Weird Al and Evan Rachel Wood is radical as Madonna but is “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” worthy of their performances?

  • Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile

Based on the books by Bernard Waber, pop star Sahwn Mendes voices the role of Lyle, a crocodile who can’t talk but can sing! But can the movie carry a tune?

  • Amsterdam

David O. Russell (“American Hustle,” “Silver Linings Playbook”) returns with “Amsterdam” and brings Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Robert De Niro.  Heck, Taylor Swift even makes an appearance.  But is the film good?  Is it Oscar worthy?

  • “Sing 2”

I loved the first “Sing” but is the sequel as funny and vibrant and colorful as the first?  You better believe it!

  • “West Side Story”

Steven Spielberg makes his musical debut by remaking “West Side Story.”  But is the new version enough to make you sing tonight, tonight or you’d rather go somewhere?

  • “tick…tick…BOOM!”

Andrew Garfield sings his heart out in “tick…tick…BOOM!” from director Lin-Manuel Miranda.  It’s an homage to struggling artists everywhere with the story of the “Rent” creator Jonathan Larson.

  • “Respect”

Ryan Reynolds as a videogame character, Jennifer Hudson channels Aretha Franklin, and the third and final chapter of “The Kissing Booth” saga.  Check out my reviews of “Free Guy,” “Respect,” and “The Kissing Booth 3.” For more of my interviews, click here.
