• Cocaine Bear

Director Elizabeth Banks gives us a cheesy take on predators running wild but should you go crazy for “Cocaine Bear?”

  • Missing

“Missing” uses the creative style called “screenlife” where your computer and smartphone screens are used to tell the story much like “Searching.”  The editors of that film are now the directors of “Missing” but did they succeed?

  • Leonor Will Never Die

Directed by the first Filipina to win at Sundance, Martika Ramirez Escobar’s “Leonor Will Never Die” is now out in select theaters.  But is the movie worth your time and money?

  • The Menu

Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult star as a couple who joins an elite dining experience from a mysterious chef played by Ralph Fiennes. Eat the rich indeed!

  • Amsterdam

David O. Russell (“American Hustle,” “Silver Linings Playbook”) returns with “Amsterdam” and brings Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Robert De Niro.  Heck, Taylor Swift even makes an appearance.  But is the film good?  Is it Oscar worthy?

  • “Smile”

Much like “The Grudge” or “The Ring” before it, “Smile” is about an unstoppable curse. It may sound reductive but is it? Check out my review of “Smile.”

  • “Don’t Worry Darling”

It’s one of the most controversial movies of the year, Olivia Wilde’s “Don’t Worry Darling.”  But should you worry about the film shot in Palm Springs starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles?
