People in government offices, businesses and schools throughout Riverside County Thursday morning will stop everything for a minute to “drop, cover and hold on” during a statewide earthquake preparedness drill, now in its 15th year.

Report: Countywide Property Tax Roll Reaches $404 Billion
Property values throughout Riverside County rose nearly 10% last year to $404.2 billion, with houses and commercial structures making up the largest share of the valuation, according to a report released Thursday by the Assessor-Clerk-Recorder’s Office.
