The Palm Springs Cruisin’ Association’s annual Dr. George Charity Car Show benefiting the Desert Cancer Foundation will return Saturday after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The all-volunteer fundraising event will be held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, 78-200 Miles Ave., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 11, according to the DCF. Proceeds of the event will go toward local residents undergoing cancer care.

The event is aimed to honor cancer survivors and those who lost their lives to cancer, foundation officials said.

This NBCares Silver Linings shares Elyssa Weintraub’s story, someone who’s been behind the scenes of the Paint El Paseo Pink event and a cancer survivor. The 2-mile walk will be the first major outdoor event in Palm Desert on El Paseo and will happen on Saturday, Oct. 9th at 8 a.m.

The 15th annual Paint El Paseo Pink will host an in-person event in Palm Desert this Fall. The Saturday, October 9 Desert Cancer Foundation fundraiser has allowed for millions of dollars of care for more than 8,000 Coachella Valley cancer patients. Registration is open to teams and individuals at PaintElPaseoPink.org.
