Hannah Gadsby is radically funny as evident in their new Netflix special “Something Special.” At the top of the show, they claimed it would be a romantic comedy about their journey in finding the love of their life Jenny. In this interview, we talked about the feel good vibe of their show, how meeting Jenny impacted their standup, the importance of Netflix for comedians, and what they want audience to take away from “Something Special.”

Rachael Leigh Cook is the tourist and Scott Ly is her guide to love in this travelogue romantic comedy set in Vietnam. From director Steven Tsuchida (“The Sarah Silverman Program,” “Community,” “Dear White People”), the film tells the tale of Amanda (Cook), a travel industry professional who goes to Vietnam for a covert mission. Ly is Sinh, her expatriate tour guide.

I spent some time with director Ryan White to talk about the making of the new documentary “Good Night Oppy.” The film follows Opportunity, the Mars Exploration Rover who (yup, I said who — she’s like a human in the documentary) was expected to live for only 90 days but she ultimately explored the red planet for nearly 15 years.

Daniel Radcliffe and Evan Rachel Wood gave pitch-perfect performances as Weird Al Yankovic and Madonna respectively in “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.” It’s a parody musical biopic but here’s the surprising part – it has a lot of heart! And that’s largely due to these two actors and writer/director Eric Appel.

Eric Appel makes his feature directorial debut with “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” based on a Funny or Die short that he directed twelve years earlier. He co-wrote the script with the man himself, Weird Al Yankovic, and he is blessed in landing Daniel Radcliffe in the title role and Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna. The actors are fantastic!

I had a great time binge-watching Netflix’s new series “Uncoupled.” From Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman, “Uncoupled” features Neil Patrick Harris as a newly single gay man navigating the dating scene after being unceremoniously dumped by his partner of 17 years.

Tisha Campbell and Marcia Gay Harden act as support of Neil Patrick Harris’ character in the new romantic dramedy “Uncoupled” from Netflix. Campbell is the co-worker and friend of Harris and Harden is their rich New York real estate client.
I spoke with both actresses to talk about the show and its many themes.
