A segment of Interstate 15 in Lake Elsinore will bear the name of a fallen Riverside County sheriff’s deputy, following passage of a Senate resolution intended to honor him.
Prosecutors intend to seek the death penalty for a 43-year-old man accused of gunning down a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy, who went to the defendant’s Lakeland Village home to investigate a domestic disturbance, it was announced Monday.
Riverside County sheriff’s investigators Thursday were searching for a man identified as a person of interest in the slaying of a Lake Elsinore resident.
