In the 1920’s and 1930’s tennis brought several A-list Hollywood celebs to the Coachella Valley. The Palm Springs Racquet Club was a big hit with these tennis lovers until a fire ruined any hope of rekindling the glory day and now it’s just another part of Palm Springs history.
The annual Palm Springs Festival of Lights has been a long running tradition in Palm Springs. It was first a thought when Mayor’s Will Kleindienst and Sonny Bono wanted to increase visitors downtown. This is how it all came about.
