President John F. Kennedy officially visited the Coachella Valley once, March 24, 1962. During that trip, he was greeted by more than 7-thousand residents and Mayor Frank Bogert. President Kennedy’s final visit, unofficially, was September 29, 1963; 2 months before he was assassinated.
