Lots of Hollywood actors came to Palm Springs in the early days for that old west experience including riding clubs, like Los Vaqueros and Los Compadres, and they all needed a trail boss. That was Frank Bogert.
In the early days of the Coachella Valley riding horses and camping out in the unspoiled desert was one of the favored activities. One group of riders was called Vaqueros del Desierto… the Cowboys of the Desert.
