A Los Angeles man who caused a fatal Palm Springs crash in July while driving under the influence of alcohol was sentenced to nearly 20 years to life in prison Thursday.
A 57-year-old woman is in the hospital with life- threatening injuries Thursday and a 59-year-old man is behind bars for allegedly hitting her with his vehicle while driving under the influence in Palm Springs.
Kevin Atteberry, 57, of Los Angeles, who has a prior DUI conviction, was accused of murder, and various felony and misdemeanor DUI related violations, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
