Man Arrested after Police Chase in Cathedral City

Cathedral City Police arrest a man wanted on multiple warrants following a brief chase on Wednesday.

Around 11:20 a.m. a Cathedral City motor officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation near Ramon Road and Landau Boulevard. 

The driver, 29-year-old Eduardo Hernandez, initially stopped. As the officer approached the vehicle the driver said "I gotta go" and took off.

According to police, Hernandez drove at a high rate of speed into a residential neighborhood. Hernandez eventually stopped near Sky Blue Water Trail and Dinah Shore Drive. 

Hernandez was found to have multiple felony warrants for domestic violence and false imprisonment. 

He was taken into custody and now faces additional charges of felony evading.
