Indio Man Faces Multiple Charges After Hit and Run in Palm Desert

On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, about 12:55 PM, officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to a single vehicle hit and run, traffic collision at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Monterey Avenue, in Palm Desert.
The driver of a burgundy Ford Excursion collided into a city street sign and fled the scene. The driver, Daniel Sandoval, 38 of Indio, was located a few miles away at Alessandro Way and Santa Anita, in Palm Desert.

Sandoval was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs, hit and run, possession of methamphetamine, and unlicensed driver. Sandoval was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio. It was determined intoxication or drug use may have been a factor in this collision.
