Deputies Seek Three Suspects in La Quinta Apartment Shooting
La Quinta, CA
A man was shot at a La Quinta apartment complex and deputies today sought three suspects in connection with the late-night shooting.
Sheriff’s deputies were called at 11:30 p.m. Thursday to the Wolff Water Place apartments at 47795 Dune Palms Road, where they learned that a man had been shot, then taken to a hospital for a non-life threatening wound, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Alan Northrup.

The outstanding suspects are described as three Hispanic males wearing dark clothing, with at least one of the men carrying a firearm, according to the deputy.

The suspects were last seen running south through the middle of the apartment complex toward Avenue 48, Northrup said.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting was asked to call Investigator Tijerina at the Thermal sheriff’s station at (760) 863-8990 or Coachella Valley Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-7867.

Palm Springs firefighters responded Thursday to a report of a person struck by lightning in the Chino Canyon area. The person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters also responded to a palm tree fire in Chino Canyon that officials say was caused by an apparent lightning strike.
