Students across the Palm Springs Unified School District are wrapping up lessons in kindness this week.
More than 600 students painted rocks with feel-good messages of peace and love. Teachers and administrative staff posted greetings and phrases in hallways and restrooms to remind students of the importance of being kind.
At Julius Corsini elementary school kids in grades 1st – 5th created cards, collected goods for those in need and chanted positive affirmations. Palm Springs High School staff and students wore school colors and dished out high fives throughout the day. And students at Della S. Lindley passed out “free hugs,” created “choose kindness” posters and shared decorated post-it notes with positive sayings to share with others.
