Moreno Valley Man Found Shot Dead in Car in Coachella

Authorities are investigating a 20-year-old Moreno Valley man found shot to death inside a car in Coachella over the weekend.

Riverside sheriff’s deputies responding to a disturbance call in the 8400 block of Calle Cathron at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday found a man unconscious in a vehicle, which was unrelated to the original call, the department said.

The man, who was later identified as Rene Arostegui, was pronounced dead at the scene.
