Muere hombre por un enorme árbol que aplastó su casa en Los Ángeles
Un hombre murió y otras dos personas fueron rescatadas después de que un gran árbol se estrelló contra una casa en Los Ángeles.
El trágico accidente se registró este domingo después de las 11 p.m., en la cuadra 5000 de North Odessa Avenue en el área de Encino, dijo el capitán del Departamento de Bomberos de Los Ángeles, Cody Weireter.
Una gran parte de la casa de dos pisos fue aplastada bajo el peso del enorme árbol. Los bomberos que respondieron a la escena ayudaron a dos mujeres a salir de la casa poco después de la caída del árbol.
Las dos mujeres estaban en el primer piso de la casa y no resultaron heridas por el árbol, dijo Weireter.
Cuando los equipos registraron el segundo piso de la casa, encontraron a un hombre de unos 60 años, aún no identificado, que murió a causa de las lesiones sufridas en el incidente.
Los investigadores están tratando de determinar qué causó la caída del árbol.
La casa ha sido etiquetada en rojo dejando a las dos mujeres que estaban dentro desplazadas, por lo que la Cruz Roja está brindado un refugio temporal.

Palm Springs firefighters responded Thursday to a report of a person struck by lightning in the Chino Canyon area. The person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters also responded to a palm tree fire in Chino Canyon that officials say was caused by an apparent lightning strike.
