Abren nuevo centro de pruebas Covid-19 en San Diego
El Concejal de la Ciudad de San Diego, Chris Cate se ha asociado con algunas organizaciones locales para abrir, a partir de este lunes a las 9 a.m., un nuevo centro de pruebas para detectar el virus del Covid-19 en Zion Market, ubicado en Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.
El sitio se encuentra en las inmediaciones del estacionamiento de Zion Market y en lugar se ofrecerán pruebas gratuitas a los habitantes que acudan hasta este viernes 21 de enero, en un horario de 9 a.m. a 5 p.m. diariamente.
“Con el reciente incremento en el número de casos activos de Covid-19, es más importante que nunca el mantenernos vigilantes y protegernos, además de proteger a los que nos rodean. La población no debería de tener que manejar por toda la ciudad buscando una prueba gratuita y mucho menos tener que pagar las pruebas con su dinero”, afirmó Cate.
En las próximas semanas el concejal se estará asociando también con la Asociación de Negocios Asiáticos de San Diego y con Broadwell Health para abrir diversos sitios de pruebas para Covid-19 gratuitas en diversos puntos del Distrito 6 de la ciudad.
“Además, cada vez vemos más sitios falsos de pruebas para Covid-19 y una subida en las pruebas caseras para detectar al virus, por lo que quiero asegurar que los sandieguinos tengan acceso a una prueba para detectar Covid-19 que sea gratuita y confiable”, añadió Cate.
Desde este lunes, Broadwell Health tiene capacidad para realizar diariamente mas de 1,000 pruebas de tipo PCR, además de una cantidad limitada de pruebas rápidas de detección de antígeno que se consiguieron recientemente.
“Estamos agradecidos y contentos con esta alianza que tenemos con el Concejal Chris Cate para la apertura de los sitios de pruebas gratuitas para Covid-19 en el Distrito 6”, complementó el presidente de la Asociación de Negocios Asiáticos de San Diego, Jason Paguio.
Las pruebas serán realizadas por profesionales de la salud. Los resultados de las pruebas PCR serán entregados al tercer día de la realización, mientras que las pruebas rápidas de antígeno se espera que puedan otorgar un veredicto en una hora.
Invitan a toda la población interesada en realizarse una prueba de detección de Covid-19, a que se acerque a los módulos ubicados en estacionamiento de Zion Market, ya que no se requiere un registro previo.

Palm Springs is mourning the loss of beloved entertainer James “Gypsy” Haake, who has died at 94. Haake began his entertainment career at just 19 years old as a Broadway chorus dancer.
