Hombre de Poway es arrestado por golpear a personal médico en clínica de vacunación
Este martes un hombre de Poway fue acusado y arrestado por atacar al personal médico de una clínica de vacunación en Orange County, luego de que le pidieran que utilizara una mascarilla al interior del lugar.
El individuo se llama Thomas Apollo, de 44 años de edad, al cual le fue pedido que abandonara la clínica Families Together en Tustin poco antes de las 10 a.m. del 30 de diciembre, cuando se negó a portar una mascarilla, de acuerdo con la policía y la oficina del Fiscal de Distrito de Orange County.
Se le acusa de golpear a un asistente médico en cinco ocasiones, mientras que a otro asistente lo golpeó dos veces mas, lo que provocó que otros empleados y quienes se encontraban en el lugar lo sometieran en lo que llegaba la policía.
Eventualmente la policía lo controló con el apoyo de un taser, de acuerdo con dicho por los fiscales.
Más tarde fue llevado al OC Global Medical Center para ser tratado por algunas pequeñas cortadas y rasguños, en el lugar tomó a una enfermera de un dedo y se lo torció, además de tocarle indebidamente un seno.
Apollo esta acusado de un cargo de asalto y lesión contra una enfermera, además de otros dos cargos similares y uno más por resistirse al arresto, todos delitos menores. De ser encontrado culpable podría pasar hasta 3 años en prisión.
Su arraigo está programado para el 30 de marzo en el Central Justice Center de Santa Ana.
Families Together es una organización sin fines de lucro que ha sido de las más activas en la lucha de Orange County por vacunar a la población en esta pandemia, generalmente estando entre las diez donde mas dosis se aplican.
Hasta el momento han aplicado 45,116 dosis de la vacuna, lo que equivale al 1.01% del condado.
