An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Monday, November 4, 2024!

In the wake of an exiting frontal boundary, those Santa Ana winds will slowly back-off throughout the day today. But because of elevated dust and dirt, an Air Quality Alert continues for the Coachella Valley area through this afternoon. As a second cold front moves through the Southwest on Wednesday, Santa Ana winds will once again be an issue along with very dry air. Elevated fire danger concerns will be with much of SoCal through Thursday. As far as high temperatures are concerned, the Valley will see highs in the lower-80s today and tomorrow, followed by noticeably cooler midday numbers in the middle-70s on Wednesday and Thursday.
