Firebirds: Post Game
Firebirds split back-to-back with Colorado
The Firebirds took the ice on Wednesday night with reinforcements from the Kraken. John Hayden, Ryan Winterton and Cale Fleury were sent back to Coachella Valley following their brief stint in the NHL with the parent club, Seattle Kraken. It helped remove the bad taste out of the mouths of the Firebirds from the night before, when the team was shutout for the first time this season 5-0. Goals from Lleyton Roed, Jagger Firkus and John Hayden helped lead the Firebirds to a 3-2 victory. Good enough to improve to 2-3 on the current road trip. Rookie goaltender Nikke Kokko made 21 of 23 saves and is now 3-0 on the season. The Firebirds will wrap up the road trip on Friday night in Ontario before returning home on Sunday, November 10 for Military Appreciation Night. Puck drop at 3 p.m.
