Coachella Valley FIND Food Bank Expands with New Warehouse to Combat Food Insecurity

FIND FOOD BANK is taking a significant step forward in its mission to fight food insecurity in the Coachella Valley by expanding with a new warehouse in Indio. The expanded facility will provide much-needed additional space to store food and distribute it more efficiently to those in need. Currently, FIND FOOD BANK operates from a warehouse that is often at full capacity, struggling to manage the growing volume of food donations. With the new warehouse, set to open by spring of next year, the organization will have the ability to double and even triple its current storage space. This expansion ensures that they will no longer have to turn away donations simply because there isn't enough room to store them. "We’ve faced challenges in the past with limited space, and we’ve had to turn food away," said a representative from FIND FOOD BANK. "This new warehouse will ensure that we can meet the increasing demand without ever having to refuse food donations again." The expansion comes at a critical time as food insecurity remains a pressing issue in the region. The new facility will allow FIND FOOD BANK to better support its mission and continue to provide nutritious food to thousands of individuals and families in need across the valley. The new warehouse is expected to be fully operational by spring 2025, marking a pivotal development in FIND FOOD BANK's ongoing efforts to address hunger and food insecurity in the Coachella Valley.
