The Lady Spartans of Michigan State began the day with a win over the University of California 78-72. The win propels the Spartans into the championship game on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Game two featured the women's programs from Vanderbilt and Arizona. The Lady Commodores took down the Lady Wildcats 71-60. The third game, the first on the men's side of play, featured the Stanford Cardinal and the Grand Canyon University Lopes. GCU traveled well, and the student section was the star of the show for the Lopes, who beat the Cardinal 78-71. Tuesday's slate will wrap up with SMU vs. Cal Baptist and Fresno State vs. Washington State.
