Galilee Center Hosts Annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution

The Galilee Center is continuing its mission of supporting low-income families in the Coachella Valley with its annual Thanksgiving food distribution. Earlier today, volunteers gathered to assemble 700 food boxes that will bring comfort and joy to those in need during the holiday season. "This is the reason we started it," said Gloria Gomez, co-founder of the Galilee Center. "To help the residents of low-income communities so they can enjoy the holidays just as many fortunate families do." This annual tradition not only underscores the center’s commitment to alleviating food insecurity but also highlights the importance of community involvement. Around 25 volunteers are expected to help distribute the boxes, which will provide holiday meals to families facing financial challenges. The Galilee Center operates year-round, collecting donations to fund its numerous programs aimed at uplifting the community. If you’d like to contribute or join their efforts as a volunteer, visit galileecenter.org. Together, we can help ensure that every family has a reason to celebrate this Thanksgiving.
