Zul the Tibetan Mastiff: A Thanksgiving Star at the National Dog Show
Each Thanksgiving, nearly 2,000 dogs compete in the National Dog Show, with a select few capturing the spotlight. Among these contenders is Zul, a one-year-old Tibetan Mastiff from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Known for his laid-back demeanor and luxurious coat, Zul has quickly risen through the ranks, earning the title of American Kennel Club Grand Champion. Zul's journey to the National Dog Show started when his owners, Nicholas and Noelle Schneider, were encouraged to show him by their breeder. After several successful entries in smaller competitions, Zul made his big debut at the prestigious Philadelphia event. At the show, Zul competed in the working group after winning Best of Breed—an exciting moment for the breed, as no Tibetan Mastiff has ever placed in this category. His owners take pride in Zul’s grooming, often spending time together to maintain his stunning appearance. Will Zul make history this year? Tune in to see if this lovable canine becomes a Thanksgiving Day champion!
