Family Desperately Seeks Help to Find Missing Dog Near Palm Springs Airport
A Palm Springs family is urging the community for help as they search for their beloved dog, Shelby, who has been missing for 10 days after running off following a car accident near the Palm Springs airport. The family’s distress has gained the attention of Michael Levitt, an animal advocate and producer of The Stanley Pup Show, who has been assisting in the search efforts. Shelby, a well-loved pet, has been spotted in the Araby Canyon area, fueling the family’s hope for a Thanksgiving miracle. However, Shelby is currently in "fight or flight" mode and is very scared, making her difficult to approach. The family is asking anyone who sees her to refrain from approaching and instead, to snap a photo if possible and call the designated phone number provided by NBC Palm Springs. The search for Shelby has touched the hearts of the community, highlighting the shared empathy animal owners feel during such a distressing time. "I think all animal owners and parents know what a horrible feeling this is," the family said in a statement. If you have seen Shelby or have any information regarding her whereabouts, please contact NBC Palm Springs via email at news@nbcpalmsprings.com or call the number displayed on the screen. Any help in bringing Shelby home would be greatly appreciated as the family hopes for her safe return this holiday season.
