Major Traffic Disruptions Expected in Coachella Valley: Construction and Ironman Event Updates
Major Traffic Disruptions Expected in Coachella Valley This Week
Commuters in the Coachella Valley should prepare for significant traffic disruptions this week due to various construction projects and the Ironman event scheduled for December 8.
In La Quinta, a Slurry Seal project on Fred Waring Drive between Jefferson Street and Adams Street will take place from December 5 to December 12. Traffic controls will shift in both directions, with drivers advised to use Highway 111 or Country Club Drive as alternative routes.
Another ongoing project is at the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Gerald Ford Drive. Drivers can bypass delays by taking Bob Hope Drive or Good Street.
The highly anticipated Ironman event will impact major corridors, including Washington Street northbound and southbound and Highway 111 eastbound and westbound. Alternative routes suggested by CV Sync include using Highway 111 westbound to El Dorado for Washington Street and Fred Waring Drive to El Dorado for Highway 111.
Motorists are urged to follow updates from CV Sync for the latest traffic information and plan accordingly. Authorities remind drivers to slow down, stay attentive, and avoid using mobile phones while driving to ensure safety for everyone on the road.
Stay ahead of delays by planning your commute this week!
