Military Appreciation Golf Tournament Honors Marines and Service Members

The American Friends of Our Armed Forces (AFAF) hosted its 16th annual Military Appreciation Golf Tournament at the Classic Club in Palm Desert. This cherished event brought together local golfers, civilians, and retired service members to honor 75 active-duty Marines from Twentynine Palms, Camp Pendleton, and Miramar. Participants began the day with a hearty breakfast before hitting the greens for a round of golf. The tournament concluded with a buffet luncheon and an awards ceremony recognizing top-performing teams and winners of closest-to-the-pin contests. The event was made possible by the support of the Classic Club and the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, highlighting the strong bond between the community and its local military personnel. AFAF’s Military Appreciation Golf Tournament remains a meaningful tradition, celebrating service, fostering camaraderie, and showing gratitude to those who serve our nation.
