Missing Hawaiian Woman Found Alive in Mexico, Says Authorities

Authorities confirm that Hanna Kobayashi, a 30-year-old woman from Hawaii who went missing after failing to board a connecting flight at LAX, is alive and in Mexico. Her disappearance drew nationwide attention, further heightened by her father’s recent death by suicide. Security footage revealed Kobayashi crossing the U.S.-Mexico border near Tijuana on November 12-13. A law enforcement official stated she is an adult who "can choose to be missing." The LAPD Chief plans to hold a news conference at LAX to discuss the case.
