TSA Launches 2025 K-9 Calendar to Honor Detection Dogs

The TSA is excited to announce the release of its 2025 K-9 calendar, a beloved annual tradition celebrating the agency’s dedicated explosive detection dogs. With over 1,000 trained dogs working across the nation, the calendar highlights their service and contributions to airport security. Each year, the TSA welcomes around 300 new canine recruits to its 16-week training program at the specialized canine training center in Texas. After completing their training, these talented dogs are deployed to permanent duty stations nationwide, where they play a crucial role in keeping air travel safe. While many travelers have seen these furry security experts at airports, it's important to remember that they're working hard and can't be petted on duty. However, their friendly demeanor and hard work make them unforgettable symbols of protection and loyalty. The 2025 K-9 calendar not only celebrates these canine heroes but also offers a glimpse into their lives as they train, work, and support their human counterparts. It’s a reminder of the critical role these four-legged officers play in maintaining safety and security at airports across the country.
