The Coachella Valley Water District is accepting applications for the 2025 CV Water Counts Academy, a program designed to teach participants all about local water management. The CV Water Counts Academy, a collaborative initiative of six local water agencies, kicks off on January 28th, 2025, and runs Tuesday evenings at the UCR Palm Desert campus. This four-session educational series dives deep into crucial topics, including local water sources, imported water, water quality, the Salton Sea, and much more. "This academy is a wonderful way for residents to understand the complexities of our water systems," shared Lorraine Garcia from the Coachella Valley Water District.
