On this Water Wise Wednesday, it’s time to highlight an exciting opportunity for residents passionate about water conservation and education. The Coachella Valley Water District is accepting applications for the 2025 CV Water Counts Academy, a program designed to teach participants all about local water management. The CV Water Counts Academy, a collaborative initiative of six local water agencies, kicks off on January 28th, 2025, and runs Tuesday evenings at the UCR Palm Desert campus. This four-session educational series dives deep into crucial topics, including local water sources, imported water, water quality, the Salton Sea, and much more. "This academy is a wonderful way for residents to understand the complexities of our water systems," shared Lorraine Garcia from the Coachella Valley Water District.
