Coachella Valley Rescue Mission Hosts Annual Christmas Toy Giveaway
Coachella Valley Rescue Mission Spreads Holiday Cheer with Annual Christmas Toy Drive The season of giving is in full swing, and the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission (CVRM) is making spirits bright with its annual Christmas Toy Drive. This cherished tradition aims to bring joy to thousands of local children and families in need during the holiday season. Kristen Crawford, with CVRM, highlighted the impact of the event: "It almost brings me to tears to see how happy and thankful the children are for the toys they receive." Crawford and her team work tirelessly to support underserved families who may struggle to afford holiday gifts. "There is definitely an underserved community here," she explained. "People are struggling just to pay their bills. We want to ensure we can supplement that and bring smiles to children’s hearts." The giveaway will take place on Thursday, December 19, at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, located on Van Buren Street in Indio. To support this cause, you can drop off toy donations directly at the mission or in one of the many donation boxes placed around the Coachella Valley. Additionally, the Giving Tree program allows participants to select a name from the tree and purchase gifts for a specific child, adding a personal touch to the holiday spirit. For more information on how to contribute, visit CVRM.org and discover ways to make a difference in your community this holiday season. As Crawford put it, "This is a wonderful opportunity for us to show that we are a community and bring smiles to the kids who need them most." Let’s come together to make this holiday season unforgettable for local families in need.
