Save Water and Energy: CVWD Offers Rebates for Hot Water Recirculating Pumps
In this week's Water Wise Wednesday, sponsored by the Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD), homeowners can learn about a practical way to save water and energy with hot water recirculating pumps. These pumps help reduce water waste by delivering hot water faster, saving between 1.5 and 2.5 gallons per minute depending on the shower head. CVWD is incentivizing conservation efforts with a rebate program offering up to $125 for residential customers who install these pumps. Customers can opt for self-installation or hire a plumber, but they must submit receipts to qualify. Lorraine Garcia from CVWD highlighted the importance of this initiative: "If you're waiting for water to heat up before a shower, this device can save significant amounts of water and energy." To apply for the rebate and review terms and conditions, residents are encouraged to visit the CVWD website at cvwd.org/rebates. Water Wise Wednesday continues to provide valuable tips for sustainable living in the Coachella Valley.
