Details about CEO Murder suspect's escape plan
Investigators from the NYPD have pieced together how Luigi Mangione, accused of murdering United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, evaded authorities for days after the crime. Mangione reportedly fled the scene on an e-bike into Central Park, then used the subway to mislead police, traveling uptown. Authorities discovered he had cash and was withdrawing money from ATMs. A recovered gun was linked to shell casings at the crime scene, and police revealed it was a ghost gun assembled from parts using a 3D printer. Investigators are also exploring whether Mangione's severe back injury and lack of insurance may have motivated the crime. Mangione is currently in a Pennsylvania prison, with his attorney challenging the evidence against him.
