NBC Palm Springs Holiday Drive: A Season of Giving to Support Local Charities
The holiday season is officially here, and NBC Palm Springs is leading the way in spreading cheer with the annual Holiday Drive. Tomorrow, from 6 AM to 7 PM, the NBC Palm Springs studios in Palm Desert will serve as a convenient drop-off point for community members looking to help those in need. Whether you're in the mood to donate toys, non-perishable food, or new socks, the drive is designed to make giving back as easy as possible. This year, NBC Palm Springs has partnered with two local charities to make the most impact. Toys collected will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Cathedral City, bringing holiday joy to children in the area. Meanwhile, non-perishable food and socks will go to the Galilee Center in Mecca, a nonprofit that serves families in need across the valley. Throughout the 14 years of this holiday initiative, these charities have been able to support hundreds of families, and this year's donations will help them continue to do so. The Boys and Girls Club serves as a beacon of hope for children, offering not only toys but also essential support for their futures. The Galilee Center provides weekly food distributions, helping around 350 families each week. Donating is simple — just drive up to NBC Palm Springs, drop off your donations, and drive away. You don't even need to leave your car! The event is made even more fun with appearances from local personalities like Tommy C and the Big 106 FM morning team. Help make this holiday season brighter for your neighbors by joining us for the NBC Palm Springs Holiday Drive.
