Olive Crest Desert Communities hosted a heartwarming Community Day event in Palm Desert today, bringing families from across the Coachella Valley together. The event focused on providing essential resources and services, such as free vaccinations, legal assistance, and emergency food to families in need. Attendees were also treated to fun activities like toy giveaways and bike raffles, ensuring everyone had an enjoyable experience. More than 22 local organizations joined forces to offer support, emphasizing Olive Crest’s commitment to strengthening and restoring families in crisis. A highlight of the event was a surprise visit from Santa, spreading holiday cheer and adding to the festive atmosphere. Olive Crest, a nonprofit organization, remains dedicated to preventing child abuse by providing a safe place for children and families, whether they are within or outside of the child welfare system. "Our vision is to create a space where people who want to help can connect with those in need," said Regional Program Manager Addison Cooper.
