Three Arrested at DUI Checkpoint in Palm Springs
Three individuals were arrested for DUI during a checkpoint in Palm Springs yesterday, held on Ramon Road and Cerritos Drive from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. In total, five drivers were cited for operating vehicles without a license or with a suspended one. Over 500 vehicles were stopped, as part of one of six annual DUI checkpoints organized by the Palm Springs Police Department. The initiative aims to reduce accidents and educate the public on driver safety. Police urged against driving under the influence, highlighting the significant legal and personal consequences, including fines exceeding $13,000 and a suspended license. The next checkpoint is scheduled for January 31, 2025.
