A single-vehicle crash in Palm Springs turned fatal Thursday morning when the driver succumbed to injuries sustained in Wednesday's accident. The incident occurred around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Landau Boulevard and Ramon Road, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
Investigators report that a gray SUV was traveling at high speeds when it left the roadway and entered the desert area adjacent to the intersection. The impact caused the driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, to be ejected from the SUV. Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead Thursday morning.
