Brothers of the Desert Launch Scholarship Fund for Black Men in the Inland Empire

The Brothers of the Desert, a Coachella Valley organization dedicated to supporting Black men and allies, has partnered with the Inland Empire Community Foundation to create a scholarship fund. This initiative aligns with the organization’s mission of uplifting Black men through education and opportunity.

Founded in 2017, Brothers of the Desert aims to foster community, growth, and empowerment. The scholarship fund is their latest effort to expand this mission by investing in education. Eligible applicants must have completed a two-year college program or secondary education in the Inland Empire and be accepted into a four-year college or university in the United States.

This scholarship is designed to help students take the next step in their educational journey by easing financial burdens and opening doors to greater opportunities. "This is about creating pathways for Black men to thrive and succeed," a spokesperson for the organization shared.

Applications for the scholarship will open next month. Interested individuals can learn more by reaching out via the email address provided during announcements or by visiting the Brothers of the Desert’s website.

The collaboration with the Inland Empire Community Foundation underscores a shared commitment to enhancing educational access for underserved communities in the region. Both organizations hope this program will inspire and support the next generation of leaders.

This scholarship fund is a milestone in Brothers of the Desert’s ongoing efforts to uplift Black men in the Coachella Valley and beyond, reflecting their belief in the transformative power of education.
