An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Tuesday, January 7, 2025!

A low pressure system moving through the Southwest will lower temperatures and elevate winds.

Aside from a few light sprinkles this morning, concerns will be related to strong, gusty Santa Ana winds which will be with us through Thursday.

There are several weather advisories which have been posted around the Coachella Valley...
• High Wind Warning (through Wednesday): High Desert, San Gorgonio Pass, Inland Empire, area mountains.
• Wind Advisory (through Wednesday morning): Eastern Riverside County.
• Red Flag Warning (through Thursday): San Gorgonio Pass, Inland Empire, area mountains.
• Air Quality Alert (through Wednesday evening): San Gorgonio Pass, Inland Empire.
• Winter Weather Advisory (through Tuesday morning): San Bernardino Mountains.

As far as the Coachella Valley is concerned, the strongest winds will be along and North of I-10 between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.

Next, you can sunny and mild conditions with highs in the lower-to-middle 70s into the weekend.
