Local Efforts to Mobilize Fire Relief to Los Angeles

In response to the catastrophic wildfires that have affected Los Angeles, Rotary clubs from the Coachella Valley are joining forces to provide much-needed relief. This Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., three convenient drop-off locations will be open for the community to donate essential items such as canned foods, warm clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags, and bottled water.

Donation sites include Sam's Club in Palm Desert, Smart and Final in Palm Springs, and Acme Moving and Storage in Palm Desert. Those unable to attend in person can also make online donations by scanning QR codes available at each location.

The efforts are part of a broader community initiative to support those impacted by the fires. "We are coming together for the common purpose to provide as much support as we can during this difficult time," said a representative from the Rotary Clubs of the Coachella Valley.

In addition to the local donation drive, the American Express Golf Tournament announced this morning on X (formerly Twitter) that they will be contributing to the American Red Cross to assist in fire relief efforts.

The community is urged to come together and show their support during this challenging period for Los Angeles residents.
