Coachella Valley Enjoys Warm, Dry Weather with No Rain in Sight for the Week Ahead

The Coachella Valley is enjoying a stretch of warm and dry weather with mostly sunny skies and temperatures slightly above the seasonal average. As of today, the valley’s temperatures are hovering around 70 degrees, with Palm Springs reaching a high of 74°F. This comes after a brief dip in temperatures earlier in the week, but overall, the area remains relatively mild for this time of year, with normal highs around 71°F.

The dry conditions continue, with no rain in sight for Southern California or much of the West Coast. While the region is in the midst of its rainy season, nature seems to have skipped the memo, leaving locals hoping for some much-needed precipitation. Despite the dry conditions, advisories that had been in place for the valley over the past several days have been lifted, and the only remaining warning is a red flag alert for areas around fires north of Los Angeles, which will expire later today as winds start to die down.

Temperatures are expected to stay in the low 70s for the next few days, with a mild breeze picking up on Friday due to an onshore flow. Winds around the San Gorgonio Pass and Desert Hot Springs will increase slightly but are not expected to be severe. By the weekend, winds will subside, offering calm, sunny weather across the valley.

Looking ahead, temperatures will remain mild through Sunday and Monday, with highs in the low 70s. However, by Tuesday, Santa Ana winds are expected to return, bringing cooler temperatures and even drier conditions. The valley will experience temperatures in the mid to upper 60s, along with very low dew points, making it even drier than usual.

Unfortunately, despite the ongoing dry spell, there is no rain on the forecast for the coming week. For now, residents of the Coachella Valley can expect another warm, sunny, and dry stretch of weather with some mild winds, perfect for outdoor activities, but little relief from the drought conditions.
