Starbucks is reversing its open door policy
Starting on January 27th, Starbucks will be reversing its open-door policy. The shops policy was first established in 2018 when a viral video of two individuals who were wrongfully arrested at a Starbucks in Philadelphia caused backlash for the company. The company was hoping this would be seen as a positive change but some critics see the opposite.
One local stating, "We want to help each other. Not take away..."
This reversed policy will make it to where people can no longer use free amenities such as the free WIFI, bathrooms and free water cups unless a purchase was made in-store. For more on this story keep up with NBC Palm Springs.
