An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Saturday, January 18, 2025!

Generally, the weekend for Southern California looks quiet. The Coachella Valley will be under clear skies both today and tomorrow with just breezy winds. Midday highs will peak in the lower-to-middle 70s this afternoon, closer to 70° for your Sunday.

Those weather concerns start Monday as gusty Santa Ana winds return to our area with some of the driest air so far this season. In fact, middle-of-the-day dew points are expected to sink below-zero for both Monday and Tuesday.

Because of the combination of gusty winds and low humidity, the Fire Danger returns to Southern California. As a precaution, the National Weather Service has posted a Fire Weather Watch, which will most likely be elevated to a Red Flag Warning for both Monday and Tuesday.

The Valley will finish-off the rest of the week with sunny skies and warm midday high temperatures.
