Lecture on Coachella Valley Hiking Trails Held

Friends of the Desert Mountains hosted a "Hiking 101: Trails of Coachella Valley" lecture today at the Rancho Mirage Library. Attendees learned about over 310 miles of trails in the valley and received valuable tips on safe hiking, trail accessibility, and environmental protection. The event also highlighted that nearly half of Coachella Valley visitors are interested in nature walks. Organizers provided a free map series and shared information on their guided hikes, including full-moon and adaptive hikes for all abilities. The group aims to help hikers feel more confident and prepared in the great outdoors.
