Palm Desert to Host Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony with Survivor Henry Friedman

This Monday, January 27th, the world will observe International Holocaust Remembrance Day, honoring the liberation of Auschwitz by Russian forces in 1945 and remembering the millions who perished during the Holocaust.

In Palm Desert, a special commemoration ceremony will take place at Civic Center Park’s amphitheater at 11 a.m. The event will feature Holocaust survivor Henry Friedman, who will share his personal experiences and reflections.

"To me, if I can just help one person to be a better human being, my mission has been accomplished," Friedman said in a preview of his upcoming speech.

The ceremony aims to educate and inspire the community to reflect on the importance of tolerance, compassion, and remembrance.

NBC Palm Springs will air a full interview with Henry Friedman on Monday morning at 6 a.m. Be sure to tune in and join the Palm Desert community at this impactful event.
