Weather
An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Friday, January 24, 2025!
The Coachella Valley will be under high clouds with filtered sunshine this afternoon and near-normal high temperatures close to 70°. Once again, it'll be extremely dry with dew points and relative humidity close to zero today.
As a disturbance approaches from the North on Saturday, on-shore winds will become a bit gusty, but only in wind-prone areas. The Valley will be under a mix of Sun and clouds with cooler midday temps in the upper-60s.
This cold-core closed-low pressure system will bring precipitation to Southern California between late-Saturday through early-Tuesday. The best shot of seeing scattered showers in the Valley will be both Sunday and Monday.
Snow levels start around 5000-feet on Saturday evening and eventually drop to 3800-feet before it ends on Tuesday morning. You can expect measurable snow from Idyllwild to the Tram. A Winter Storm Warning has been posted for area mountains for areas above 4000-feet.
