Agua Caliente Band Launches Grant Program to Support Local Restaurants and Bars

In an effort to support local businesses, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians has launched a new grant program designed to assist restaurants and bars on their reservation that pay the tribal food and beverage sales tax. The program offers a total of up to $100,000 in grants to help these businesses grow and improve.

Under the food and beverage sales tax grant program, grants of up to $20,000 are available to businesses looking to expand, while up to $5,000 can be used for property upgrades such as lighting, signage, or technology enhancements.

Tribal Chairman Reed Milanovich emphasized that the initiative is aimed at assisting family-owned businesses, which form the backbone of the community. The grant program reflects the tribe's commitment to strengthening its local economy and supporting businesses that contribute to the vibrant community.

This opportunity provides an essential financial boost for businesses looking to expand and enhance their operations, ensuring they continue to thrive in the face of challenges.
